TransNusa Airbus 320-200

TransNusa Starts Denpasar - Perth Flights This Week

TransNusa will begin thrice-weekly flights between Denpasar (DPS) and Perth (PER) this week, operating an Airbus 320-200 every Monday, Thursday, and Saturday from March 20, 2025.

Flights will scale up to four times per week, adding Tuesday services, from April 12, and increase to daily services from June 1.

The timetable has a mid-morning departure from Denpasar and an arrival in Perth just after noon. After around one hour on the ground, the aircraft turns around to fly back to Denpasar, arriving there later in the afternoon.

“The Bali-Perth international route is a golden route as the highest number of tourists, almost every year, in Bali are from Perth,” said TransNusa Group CEO Bernard Francis.  “Hence, the demand for this route is equally significant. As such, we will be utilising our Airbus 320 that has only a mere 174-seat configuration.”

TransNusa bills itself as a full-service airline. However, its 320-200s only offer economy class. The airline is an established Indonesian carrier best known for being the only non-Chinese operator of the COMAC C909. That aircraft type will not fly the Denpasar – Perth route because it lacks Australian certification.

The TransNusa flights replace Citilink’s Denpasar – Perth services, which that airline axed without fanfare in January. Initially, the Garuda Indonesia subsidiary cancelled its flights across February and March. However, it has now stopped selling tickets on all flights beyond March.

Indonesia AirAsia, Jetstar, and Batik Air also fly the Denpasar – Perth route.
