JULY 29, 2025: A temporary air traffic control radar and tracking outage at Port Moresby (POM) and Mt. Hagen (HGU), managed by NiuSky Pacific, resulted in disruptions to some flight operations on July 28. Systems are now restored.

JULY 28, 2025: The US Department of Transportation will allow Polynesian Airlines, trading as Samoa Airways, to continue flying between Pago Pago and the Manu’a Islands, relying on a exemption in the rules that allows cabotage operations under certain circumstances.

JULY 28, 2025: Tonga's Minister for Public Enterprises Paula Piukala say the safety concerns that led to the temporary suspension of Lulutai Airlines' operating certificate, including chronic understaffing, reliance on temporary engineers, and systemic non‑compliance, have been an issue since Lulutai's establishment in 2020.
