Jetstar A321neo

Jetstar Starting Perth – Manila, Brisbane - Cebu Flights

Jetstar plans to start flights from Perth (PER) to Manila (MNL) and Brisbane (BNE) to Cebu (CEB), according to a March 20, 2025, filing with Australia’s International Air Services Commission.

The filing, signed by Anna Pritchard, Executive Manager, Policy, Industry and International Affairs at Qantas, which owns Jetstar, says both routes will operate thrice weekly. Jetstar will operate the flights using a long-range Airbus 321neo configured with 232 seats.

“Qantas seeks an allocation of 696 seats per week and unrestricted capacity on the Philippines route,” the filing reads.

Pritchard says the flights will start on November 27, 2025, and be fully utilised by February 8, 2026.

“We request that this application be considered against the ‘reasonable capability criterion’ as defined in section 8 of the Minister’s Policy Statement,” she writes.

The tentative timetable information provided to the International Air Services Commission indicates that JQ81 will depart Perth mid-evening every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday for a pre-dawn arrival in Manila the following day. The return service (JQ80) will depart Manila at 6.00 a.m. every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday for a lunchtime arrival in Perth. No airline currently flies between Perth and the Philippines.

JQ101 will push back from Brisbane at lunchtime every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday for a same day late afternoon arrival in Cebu. The aircraft will turn around for a same day early evening departure (JQ100) from Cebu and a pre-dawn arrival in Brisbane the following day. No airline currently flies between Cebu and Brisbane, although Philippines Airlines and Qantas fly between Manila and Brisbane.
