E190 Delivered to National Jet Express

National Jet Express has taken delivery of another Embraer 190-100LR, with the aircraft flying into Perth (PER) on March 6, 2025. It is National Jet Express’s eighth E190.

FlightAware data show the former Amaszonas Bolivia aircraft left Opa-locka (OPF) in Florida on March 4 and flew via Santa Barbara (SBA) in California, Honolulu (HNL) and Majuro (MAJ) before arriving in Cairns (CNS) mid-afternoon on March 6. It went on to Perth later that day.

The aircraft will go into the Australian register as VH-8EB (msn 19000483), dropping its US registration N136AB. The aircraft currently seats 110 passengers in an all-economy class configuration. It was re-painted with National Jet Express livery in Opa-locka.

Until recently, National Jet Express was  50% owned by Regional Express (Rex). It is is now wholly-owned by Singaporean interests. Rex’s former chairman Lim Kim Hai owns 55% of the National Jet Express and is now its chairman. His brother-in-law and venture capital investor Tjoa Thian Song holds the remaining 45%.

National Jet Express primarily operates closed charters for mining and resource companies. It also operates flights on behalf of Qantas Freight.
