Daily China Southern Airlines Flights For Brisbane

China Southern Airlines will increase its flights on the Guangzhou (CAN) – Brisbane (BNE) to daily on June 10, 2025. It is a significant step up from the current four weekly roundtrips, and will provide Australia’s third busiest airport with an additional 48,984 inbound seats annually.

“China is one of Queensland’s most important inbound tourism markets, so the step-up to daily flights by China Southern Airlines is a big boost,” said Brisbane Airport CEO Gert-Jan de Graaff. “We know visitors travelling to Brisbane disperse throughout the state.”

China Southern Airlines operates its Brisbane services with a 314-passenger A350-900. The aircraft type seats 262 passengers in economy class, 24 passengers in premium economy class, and 28 passengers in business class.

China Southern’s flight to Brisbane, CZ381, will depart Guangzhou every evening at 21.15 and arrive in Brisbane at 08.00 the following morning. The flight to Guangzhou, CZ382, leaves Brisbane at 10.10 and arrives in Guangzhou nine hours later at 17.30.

Saying the extra flights were a proactive response to robust market demand, China Southern Airlines Regional General Manager Australia and New Zealand Jason Sun Zhixing said “the move to increase the Guangzhou - Brisbane route to a daily service reflects China Southern Airlines' confidence in the route's strong performance and its promising future growth.”

In addition to Brisbane, China Southern Airlines also flies to Melbourne and Sydney.

Twenty-eight airlines service Brisbane on a scheduled basis, including two from China. Alongside China Southern Airlines, China Eastern Airlines flies between the Queensland capital and Shanghai Pudong (PVG) three times per week.
