American Airlines will fly into Brisbane (BNE) from both Los Angeles (LAX) and Dallas (DFW) this upcoming Southern Hemisphere 2025/26 summer.
American Airlines will fly thrice weekly between Los Angeles and Brisbane using B787-9s between December 2, 2025, and January 30, 2026. This will be the airline's first time flying this route.
American Airlines will also resume its seasonal flights between Dallas and Brisbane on October 25, 2025. Initially the flights will operate six days per week before increasing to daily from December 8.
American will deploy one of its recently re-configured B787-9s on this route. The premium seat heavy plane offers the New Flagship Suite Service and will be one of only five routes worldwide featuring this specific aircraft type.
American Airlines will be the only carrier flying nonstop between Dallas and Brisbane while it competes with oneworld partner Qantas on the Los Angeles – Brisbane route.
Meanwhile, this week, American Airlines confirmed that it will also start using its refurbished B787-9s on its daily Dallas - Auckland (AKL) flights from January 6, 2026.
