Aircalin to Wet-Lease euroAtlantic B777

Aircalin will wet-lease a B777-200 from Portugal’s euroAtlantic Airways for most of the upcoming Southern Hemisphere summer.
“This aircraft will strengthen Aircalin's fleet, offering greater flexibility and reliability in its flight scheduling during this peak season,” reads an Aircalin statement. “It will mainly operate flights between Noumea and Singapore, as well as a few routes to Sydney.”
On board, Aircalin and euroAtlantic Airways crews will jointly look after passengers. Aircalin says this is to "guarantee you a quality experience."
Aircalin’s in-house fleet includes two A320-200neos and two A330-900s. Both A330s are in service. However, one A320 has been parked at Kuala Lumpur (KUL) for most of 2025.
In this case, the euroAtlantic Airways wet-lease will allow Aircalin to operate a third weekly Noumea (NOU) - Bangkok (BKK) - Paris (CDG) round-trip, which it intends to do from late November.
The B777-200 seating plan provided by Aircalin shows the leased aircraft contains 239 economy seats, 24 premium economy seats, and 30 business seats. euroAtlantic Airways operates two B777-200s, both with this seating configuration.
One of the B777-200s is presently operating for Brazil’s Azul Airlines. The other, CS-TSX (msn 32784) has been parked at Miami’s Opa Locka Executive Airport (OPA) since early October, having operated for LOT Polish Airlines for several months before that.
Aircalin says they selected euroAtlantic Airways “for its expertise on long-haul routes and the quality of its crews.” The airline adds that the wet-lease was a" temporary solution to reinforce its fleet."
Aircalin typically operates three weekly round-trips on the Noumea – Singapore (SIN) and Noumea – Sydney (SYD) city pairs, although frequencies temporarily increase during peak periods. The Singapore flights are exclusively serviced by the A330s. The same aircraft type also handles most of the Sydney services, although the A320s make the occasional appearance on quieter days. At the time of writing, Aircalin’s are yet to update and show what frequencies the euroAtlantic Airways aircraft will operate.
