Air New Zealand CEO Greg Foran has announced his resignation, effective October 20, 2025, five and a half years after taking up the role.
Air New Zealand chairperson Dame Terese Walsh says Foran’s most notable achievement was managing the global supply chain challenges.
“These began with Covid-19 and continue today with the engine issues materially impacting both our Boeing and Airbus fleets,” she said.
“While these challenges impact our operation almost daily, Greg’s relentless focus and global profile have been instrumental in mitigating the consequential disruptions on our customers.”
Walsh says Air New Zealand will start a global search for a new CEO and that Foran will help with the leadership transition.
Foran says leading the airline has been an “incredible experience” and a “privilege.”
“It has been an honour to serve our customers, our 11,500-strong team, and New Zealand,” he said. “I will look back on my time here with immense pride and gratitude.”
