Air Marshall Islands ferries in its second SkyCourier

Air Marshall Islands has taken delivery of its second Cessna 408 SkyCourier. The brand-new aircraft arrived at Majuro (MAJ) on July 31, 2026, without fanfare.

The 19-passenger aircraft, V7-2614 (msn 408-0066), ferried from Las Vegas (VGT) to Majuro over six days between July 25 and July 31, flying via Santa Maria (SMX) and Honolulu (HNL). The ferry flight was operated by Flight Contract Services.

The first SkyCourier was delivered to the small state-owned airline in May and began regularly operating flights in early July. Both aircraft will allow Air Marshall Islands to expand its inter-island services, which, recently, have relied on two ageing Dornier 228-200s.

FlightRadar24 data shows the first SkyCourier, V7-2613, regularly flies between Majuro and Kwajalein (KWA), while the airline's Facebook page, which is updated more frequently than its website, indicates the Dorniers continue to operate local routes between Majuro and Wotje (WTE), Kwajalein and Ebon (EAL), and Kwajalein and Lae (LML).

Air Marshall Islands CEO Albon Jelk has previously said the SkyCouriers represented a significant milestone for the airline and its goal of providing dependable air transport across the country, which comprises 24 inhabited atolls and islands.

"The SkyCourier's high payload capability and versatile design will allow Air Marshall Islands to transport both passengers and cargo more efficiently, including essential goods such as food, medical supplies, mail and other critical freight," Jelk said.

Both SkyCouriers were ordered in late 2024 under a two-aircraft purchase agreement with Textron Aviation. They are being funded through a USD8.3 million United States Government grant and a USD20.3 million soft loan from Taiwan's International Cooperation and Development Fund.
